WikiHouse / Open Source Construction Set.

Disponibile su una piattaforma online, la WikiHouse di Architecture 00:/ è un arsenale che sfida i dogmi industriali e intellettuali dell’architettura. Da questa base, la banda di architetti, geografi, sociologi e tecnologi sta lavorando a progetti di edilizia, a piattaforme open-source, a iniziative comunitarie e a strategie culturali e politiche. Guardano al futuro, lavorano seduti alla loro scrivania a progetti scaricabili e riproducibili in ogni angolo del mondo: piante e modelli sono online, insieme con le relative varianti e addizioni cui chiunque può aggiungere o sottrarre qualcosa, per realizzare e montare la propria WikiHouse. Lo studio ne ha portato un prototipo che utilizza un sistema di assemblaggio senza bulloni al Salone del Mobile di Milano, lo scorso Aprile. Il mantra che è alla base di questa idea è l’aforisma di John Maynard Keynes, secondo il quale è più facile spedire le ricette che non le torte e i biscotti, mentre il metodo adottato si ispira al movimento del software open-source (Linux, un esempio tra tutti). E’ un progetto aperto quindi, a tutti coloro che credono che l’edilizia residenziale open-source sia un problema che vale la pena di risolvere.

That’s the truth. There’s someone who decides what is acceptable and not, what’s a threat and what is not. That’s cool, that someone like Bansky is still an acceptable level of threat and his graffiti are not cleaning up from the London’s walls. When Bristol street cleaners painted over a Bansky work in 2007 it was considered a serious mistake. And now, the plan to use the Olympics as a fodder to give voice to another “misterious” (not that much) critics to the society, has perfectly worked: milions of tourists goes through the city looking for the famous street’s art works and now the cleaners has no right to clean up those paintings. That’s cool, that people can still enjoy that images: you need no more than a second to feel the power of such a draw. A many speaks about somethig terrible could happend tomorrow, on the 27th of July 2012, the opening cerimony day. I’m scared. And the lasts Bansky works are also in my eyes another message of silent crimes..I pray.
